Obituary for Clara Edna Barr
Clara Edna Barr, age 94, of Knox, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 following a long illness at her son's home in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Clara was born November 10, 1921 at her family home on Toto Road in Knox. She was a member of the Knox United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Round Lake Ladies Aid and the Starke County Historical Society. She is survived by her children, Carolyn Hankins (Bob) of Millville, New Jersey and Richard A. Barr (Kathy) of Ooltewah, Tennessee, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frans C. Hansen and Pearl M. Davis Hansen, her husband, Richard H. Barr, a great granddaughter, and brothers and sisters, Anna Folkers, Floyd Hansen, Carl Hansen, Mildred Hammerlund, and Lois Varro. Funeral services will take place Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00am (ct), with visitation one hour prior to services, at the Knox United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at Round Lake Cemetery in Knox. Memorials may be made to the Round Lake Church or any Hospice organization. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
