Obituary for Maxine V. Simmons
Maxine V. Simmons, age 100, of Knox, formerly of Hinsdale, Illinois, and formerly of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Knox. Maxine was born November 3, 1914 in Walnut City, Iowa to Merle and Blanche (Miner) Walter, both deceased. In 1934 she married George Simmons, he preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Toweson of Griffith, Indiana, and Saundra Visconti of Chula Vista, California, a sister, Annabelle Wilson of Paducah, Kentucky, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
