Obituary for Ann L. Nied
Ann L. Nied, age 91, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hickory Creek of Winamac. Ann was born July 16, 1923 in Grindstone, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Antonia (Subart) Kowal, both deceased. Ann was a very active member and past President of the Knox American Legion Post 131 Women's Auxiliary and the Bass Lake Lioness Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ovid Nied on November 18, 2000. She is survived by her children, Terry Chmiel (Lori) of Knox, Margy Forsythe (Keith) of Mishawaka, and Scott Nied (Penny) of Arizona, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 1:00pm (CT) at the Knox American Legion Post 131, 707 S. Heaton St, Knox, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox American Legion Post 131 Women's Auxiliary.
