Obituary for Scarlette Gaye Richie
Scarlette Gaye (Sands) Richie, age 68, of Knox, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Monday, June 16, 2014. She was born August 8, 1945 in Coupeville, Washington. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox, at 6:00 pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services. Scarlette was preceded in death by one child, Eric Richie, and her parents, Mendell and Helen Sands. Scarlette leaves behind former husband and caretaker, Garry Richie of Knox, four children, Lisa Dan (Mike) of Knox, Tamara Awald (Matt) of Lakeville, Rebecca Bickel of Tampa, FL, and Aaron Richie (Autumn) of South Bend, nine grandchildren, Adam Brown, Brennen Bickel, Colton and Cody Cole, Dakota and Hunter Brooke, David and Ruby Mathison, and Dylan Richie, and four step grandchildren, Adam Awald, Eric, Drew and Alysa Dan, two brothers, Larry Sands (Scottie) of San Antonio, TX and Robert Sands of Bloomington, IN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the family would be appreciated.
