Obituary for Florence "Babe" Forest
Florence I. "Babe" Forest, age 74, of Monterey, IN passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at her home. Babe was born July 9, 1939 in Paulding County, Ohio to Charles B. Grant and Erma M. Jacques Cunningham, both deceased. She had been married to David Forest, he preceded her in death on August 9, 2000. She retired on Dec. 3, 2013 as the kitchen and site manager for Pulaski County Human Services, and had worked several years as an aide for Starke County Human Services. She is survived by her children, Kathryn Ditmire of Continental, OH, Connie Thomas (Charles) of Monterey, Richard "Ray" Forest (Kandie) of Kewanna, Shawn Forest (Amber) of Monterey, brothers and sisters, Nancy Mathison of Ft. Wayne, Richard Cunningham (Linda) of New Smyrna, FL, John Cunningham (Lou) of Kansas, Charles Cunningham (Willene) of Columbus Grove, OH, Sara Wells (Gary) of Wapakoneta, OH, Barbara Clark (Daryl) of Continental, OH, Anna Smith of Columbus Grove, OH, Lester Cunningham (Thelma) of Columbus Grove, OH, and Terry Cunningham (Steven Young) of Ottawa, OH, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Ann Forest, a sister, Patsy Stevens, and a brother, William "Billy" Stover. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 4-8pm (CT) at M. C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Interment will take place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac. Memorial contributions can be made to the family or to the American Kidney Foundation.
