Obituary for Eunice M. Werner
Eunice M. Werner, age 89, of Knox, passed away Friday, February 9, 2014. Eunice was born February 16, 1924 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Edward and Mary (Gibson) Peters, both deceased. Eunice worked as a teller at the Horizon bank in Wanatah, Indiana. She was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Knox, Indiana. Eunice married Alvin H. Werner, October 24, 1943. They were married 63 years. He preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by her children Kathi Werner of Knox, Sherri (Dwight) Adams of Valparaiso, Jayne (Terry) Cooper of Walkerton. Her grandchildren Erik (Jada) Vandy, John (Toni) Vandy, Jason (Tish) Cooper, Great Grandchildren Anyssa Ortiz, Aaron Vandy, Parker Vandy, Jake Cooper, Drew Cooper. Sisters, Dolores Welsh, of Union Mills, Mary Lou Neilsen, of Stillwell, and Joana Shei of Hanna. She was preceded by a sister Phyllis Guse, and a brother Phillip Peters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Starke County Community Services (Council on Aging).
