Obituary for Russell Alan Duchane
Russell Alan Duchane, age 66, of Monroe, North Carolina, formerly of Knox, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013. He was born January 12, 1947 in Chicago, where he lived through his childhood and later in Knox, IN, Johnson City, TN and Monroe, NC. He was the son of the late Lester George Duchane and the late Virginia Leske Duchane. He worked as a loyal employee of (Stewart-Warner) Alemite for over 47 years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Ann Duchane, two sons, Russell Duchane of Hamlet, IN, Duane Duchane (Mindy) of Knox, IN, one daughter, Lisa Prater (Marvin) of Knox, one adopted son, Rex Burgner (Daysi) of Deltona, FL, a brother, Lester Duchane of Bozeman, MT, a sister, Rosemary Duchane (Bill Theise) of Molina, IL, four grandchildren, Melissa Duchane of Knox, Cody Duchane (Amber Williams) of Monroe, NC, Jordan Prater of Knox, Jared Prater of Knox, two great grandchildren, Ali Duchane and "one on the way" Payton Duchane Russell. Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 1-4pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Funeral services will be Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 9:30am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Knox.
