Obituary for Nick J. Hoffmann
Nick J. Hoffmann, Age 72, of Knox, Passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home. Nick was born December 10, 1940 in LaPorte to Nick and Ardelle (Rowley) Hoffmann, both deceased. He was a former supervisor at Rockwell International, and had retired after 18 years of service with the University Police at Purdue University North Central in Westville. He had been a member of Knox Jacee's, a Little League coach, an avid bowler, member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges, and had served on the Knox-Center Twp. Fire Dept. and in the U.S. Air Force. On June 17, 1961 he married Josephine Griffith, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Robert Edward Hoffmann of Knox and Susan Marie Hoffmann of Knox, and a brother, Richard Hoffmann of LaPorte. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Lynn Hoffmann. Services and interment were private. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
