Obituary for Evelyn E. Schweitzer
Evelyn E. Schweitzer, age 92, of Knox, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019. Evelyn was born June 8, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to James Toole and Marie Huber Toole, both deceased. She had worked for many years as a secretary in office of Dr. Damodaran. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society, Knox American Legion Auxiliary, Knox VFW Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose. On June 1, 1957 she married Donald Schweitzer Sr. She is survived by her children, Donna Stevens of Vine Grove, Kentucky, James Schweitzer of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Donald Schweitzer Jr. of Hamlet, Indiana, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sr., a son, Kenneth Schweitzer, a sister, Gertrude Polson, and a great grandson, Zachary Graves. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 1:00pm (CT) with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
