Beverly Jane Corey, 91, of Knox, Indiana, peacefully went to her Heavenly home on November 18, 2025, at 12:03 am. Born in Grovertown, Indiana, on November 2, 1934, to Claude and Mabel Troyer Keiser, Beverly lived a life full of love and devotion.
A proud 1952 graduate of Knox High School, Beverly married her childhood sweetheart, Eugene Corey, on October 11, 1952. From the age of five, she knew he was the one she would spend her life with. Their love story is one for the ages, filled with joy, commitment, and unwavering support.
Beverly never moved far from home. She could see the house where she was born from her window. Her home was her sanctuary. She loved her life there and that was her little paradise watching the animals walk up the lane from the woods to her feeder sanctuary outside her window. All were enjoyed except the squirrels who learned in a hurry that they would meet their demise if they heard that window rise. Her beloved Cockatiel, "Barney," was her constant companion and dear friend.
In her final days, all Beverly wanted was to return home and be with her "Barn." Their bond was evident, with Barney flying to her shoulder, rubbing his face against her cheek in a gesture of love.
Watching football was her hobby and a huge “Notre Dame” fan she was and you could tell walking in her house. Memorabilia lined the walls and piano.
Beverly and Eugene cherished their winters in Florida, creating unforgettable memories through fishing and quality time with family. Beverly missed those magical days after Eugene's passing, but embraced her role as his caretaker during his battle with ALS. She handled it with grace and prayer.
Beverly leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Terry (Jody) Corey, Larry Corey, and Doug (Carol) Corey; grandchildren: Katey (Chad) Dulin, Jessica (Kody) Correll, Amy (TJ) Ochoa-Corey, Brooke (Coy) Bope, Travis (Olivia) Corey, Joshua Oliver (Indi), Juanita Oliver, Jordan Oliver (Breanna), Travis Cunningham, and Alan Cunningham; great-grandchildren: Paige, Izzy, Landon, Londyn, Trey (Cassidy), Dalanie (Seth), Braden (Ava), Kennedy Mae, Riley, Ike, Cyla, Emma, Leon, Ruby, Aubriana, Jayden, Asher, Huxley, Grayson, Sequoia, Levi, Michael, and Johan; great-great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Oaklynn, and Bennett; and her sister Nancy Taylor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mabel Troyer Keiser, her beloved husband Eugene Corey, sister Juanita Clark, grandson Eric Corey, and four angel babies she never got to meet but is now reunited with in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Beverly’s name be made to Turkey Tracks Hunt, The Eric Corey Foundation, at 0625 N. 700 E., Knox, Indiana 46534, email at Turkeytrackshunt09@gmail.com.
To honor Beverly, the family asks that guests wear blue, her favorite color, to the services.
Beverly will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. We can shed tears because she is gone, or we can smile because she lived a wonderful life and is now reunited with her loved ones. What a joyful reunion they are having.
