Clinton W. Richmond Sr., age 91, of Ora, Indiana passed away August 14, 2025. Clinton was born January 25, 1934 in Kingston, Nova Scotia, Canada to Abraham Richmond and Margaret Doran Richmond, both deceased. He was a Veteran having served in the Canadian Armed Forces. He and his wife of 39 years, Carol Marie (Reimold) Richmond, settled in Chicago Ridge, Illinois where they built a home and raised their family for 25 years. While living in Chicago Ridge, he had worked as a draftsman for Sloan Valve and Motorola. He had also been a volunteer firefighter for many years on the Chicago Ridge Fire Department. He and his family moved to Ora, Indiana in 1989, shortly thereafter he started work at the Culver Academies where he was the proud operator of the Zamboni at the Hockey Arena. He loved his family and never found a stranger. Everyone that knew him knew how kind hearted and hard working he was. He loved to read and do puzzles in his later years and always had a game of solitaire on his table.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth Richmond, two sons, Clinton Richmond Jr. and William Richmond, grandchildren, Derek/Cayty Heller, Tori Heller and Leah Heller, Molly Richmond and Gabriel Richmond, Michael Hillman and Nichole Hillman, great grandchildren, Daxton Heller, Rylynn Richmond, Ruby Richmond, Dexter Richmond Jackson McKenzie and Mia McKenzie, Amelia Hillman, Oliver Hillman, Conner Hillman and Abel Hillman, and two sisters, Delores Zurek and Diane Gumienny. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 39 years Carol (Reimold) Richmond and his second wife of 4 years, Patsy Sue (Stockton) Richmond, a daughter, Peggy Richmond and a brother, David Mark Richmond. Services will take place at a later date. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
