Obituary for Austin J. Elder
Austin J. Elder, age 24, of North Judson, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018. Austin was born May 24, 1993 in Knox, Indiana. He was a graduate of North Judson San Pierre High School, he loved riding his motorcycle and 4 wheeler, hunting, fishing, hiking and visiting new places. On August 20, 2016 he married Amber Bradley Elder, she survives. Also surviving are his son, Ryder Lee Elder, his father, Chet Elder (Marisol) of Knox, his mother, Mary Minix (Willis) of Denham, a grandfather, Eugene Salyer of Knox, grandmother, Joyce Hayes (Jerry) of North Judson, great grandmother, Melvia Jordan of Knox, brothers and sisters, Chester Elder IV of North Judson, Willis Minix Jr. of Denham, Angie Valdez of North Judson, Ashley Prater of North Judson, Hannah Minix of North Judson, Blake Minix of North Judson, Randy Minix of Knox, a nephew, Chester Devon Elder V and 12 other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 4-8pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11:00am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Round Lake Cemetery.
