Obituary for Ressie Marie Smith
Ressie Marie Smith, age 86, of Knox, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 5, 2024. She was born June 3, 1937 in Morgan County, Kentucky to Homer Patrick Sr. and Offa McCarty Patrick, both of whom have preceded her in death. She loved going to church and reading the bible. She also loved planting and tending to her flowers. She is survived by her four children, Wanda Suryk (Ron) of Bourbonnais, IL, Eddie Smith (Janet) of North Judson, Brenda Wiley (Jay) of Indianapolis, and Rickie Smith (Sherry) of Knox, a brother, Jim Patrick of Plymouth, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Smith and her brothers and sisters, Ina, Meda, Homer Jr., Susie, Otis, Herschal, Luther, Janice, Dorsie and Donald.
