Obituary for Dolores Jean Smith
Dolores Jean Smith, age 85, of Knox, passed away December 31, 2023 at her home. Dolores was born March 27, 1938 in Knox, to Reuben and Vera Warner, both deceased. She was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her disabled daughter for many years. She was also an avid reader, loved to knit and loved gardening. On June 7, 1964 she married Russell Smith, he survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Judith Ditmire (Mike) of Argos, a granddaughter, Megan Ditmire of South Bend and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryle Smith, and three brothers, Roger, Richard and Ronald Warner.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11am (CT), with visitation one hour prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery.
