Obituary for Carol L. Skibbe
Carol L. Skibbe, age 75 of Knox, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. Carol was born September 8, 1948 in LaPorte, Indiana to John D. Moorman Jr. and Jean Sellers Moorman, both deceased. Carol was a long-time school bus driver for the Knox Community Schools, she loved her job and loved all of the pre-school kids on her route. She was very social and loved to be around people. Her pastimes were playing cards, watching IU Basketball, reading and going to breakfast with her friends. On February 7, 1970 she married Louis Devon Skibbe, he survives. Also surviving are her children, Tammy Dearth (Leo) of Knox, Tommy Skibbe of Knox, and Tracey Binkley (Josh) of Knox, a sister, Patsy Richey of Florida, and three grandchildren, Jake & Emma Binkley and Summer Skibbe. She was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Moorman. Visitation will take place Monday, November 13, 2023 from 3-7pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 12noon (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery. There will be a funeral luncheon following the graveside services, details will follow.
