Obituary for James "Jim" Johnson
James “Jim” Johnson, age 75, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away October 14, 2021. On July 18, 1946, was born to Walter Johnson and Slyvia Gappa, both deceased. Jim was a veteran in the Army, an elder at the First Christian Church in Knox, apart of the board at Crown Hill Cemetery, a little league coach, a business owner for 50 years, had a group of elderly women that he called his “little old ladies,” he enjoyed watching sports and the history channel and drinking Miller Lite. Surviving is his wife Vickie Johnson of Florida, his sons Matthew (Meagen) Johnson of Texas, Adam (Tonya) Johnson of Florida and Benjamin Johnson of IN, also surviving are his sisters Joanne “Schacht” Kauchak, Jeanne “Schacht” Forsberg, Janice “Johnson” Hibner and brother Jerome C. Johnson, and 5 granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held at M.C. Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 1pm (CST), with a visitation being held 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will follow at Round Lake Cemetery.
