Obituary for Carl J. Bolen
Carl J. Bolen, age 86, of Knox, formerly of Highland, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016. Carl was born December 25, 1929 in Odd, West Virginia to Carl and Ruth (Wallace) Bolen, both deceased. He was Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a truck mechanic for American Can Co. in Hammond, IN. On December 31, 1954 he married Lillian Josupeit, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Judy Endres of Trenton, Ohio, Debbie Gregson (Mike) of Munster, IN, and Amy Cashen (Tony) of Highland, IN, a sister, Joyce Brammer of Chicago, a brother, Dick Bolen of Texas, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Toxey Bolen and a sister Bonnie Bradford. Funeral services will be Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:00am (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Heaton St., Knox, IN. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Garden in Schererville, IN. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
