Yvonne Gloria Butler was born June 28, 1939 to Edward and Blanche Bennet in Sacramento, California. She passed away peacefully in her sleep May 3, 2024. She spent her entire life in Northern California, until the age of 80. At that time she moved to Indiana to be near her oldest daughter. Yvonne was a fun, energetic, independent woman. She was passionate about international travelling and home remodeling. Her stepdad, Lee, loved calling her “Mrs. Winchester” for her never ending house remodeling projects! She loved her family dearly, along with dancing, pinochle, jazz festivals, water skiing in her younger days, people and Engelbert Humperdinck. She was the life of the party with many, many friends. As a young mother, she had a thriving reupholstery business. As an empty nester, she built a very successful Realtor career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rodney Butler, her step-dad, Lee Teague and one granddaughter, Amber Butler. She leaves behind four children, Daniel Butler, Denice Runkle (Cliff), Tami Redding (Robert), and Troy Butler-Baker (David), and a sister, Gloria Teague-Schmidt (Paul). She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Heather, Joshua Matthew, Shannon and Jaimee, as well as, nine great grandchildren, Maddie, Alexander, Jacob, Shelby, Evelynn, Hannah, Mabel, Emilia and Daisy.
A celebration of Yvonne’s life is planned for June 29, 2024 at Granite Bay/Folsom Lake, California (Specific time and location to be determined)
