Obituary for William Stage
William Stage, age 86, of Knox, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016. William was born April 26, 1929 in Rockford, IL to Clarence and Margaret (May) Stage, both preceded him. On October 15, 1955 he married Linda (Lee) Stage at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, she survives. Together they had four children. Jacqueline (Brian) Wood, of Canton, MI, Paul (Debra) Stage of Avon, IN both surviving. Theresa Stage and Mary Runkle, both preceded him in death. He has Eight, grandchildren and four, great grandchildren. He was preceded by 11 brothers and sister. William served in the US Army during the Korean War. After coming home from his service he drove semi for 30 years accident free. Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2016 from 2-8pm with Rosary service at 4:30pm at the M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00am at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Hamlet. The family, ask in lieu of flowers, memorials made to Starke County food pantry.
