Obituary for William E. "Bill" Short
William E. "Bill" Short, age 60, of North Judson, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at his home. Bill was born June 11, 1954 in Knox to Raymond E. and Betty (Solomon) Short. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a member of the Knox Masonic Lodge and he loved fishing. He had worked with his father for many years as a general contractor in their family business, Short Construction. He is survived by his mother, Betty Short of North Judson, his close friend and companion, Suzy Bishop of Knox, his sisters, Sandra Short of Fort Meyers, Florida and Susan Himes of Knox. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Rebecca Short. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 1:00pm (CT) with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. There will be a Masonic Funeral Rite just prior the service on Saturday. Interment will take place at Round Lake Cemetery.
