Wayne and Joann Emigh, of Knox, both passed away Wednesday, January 04, 2017.
Wayne, age 91, was born October 25, 1925 in Knox, to Daniel and Florence (Bergold) Emigh, both deceased. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army at the end of WWII and a lifelong farmer. He is survived by a brother, R. Kent Emigh of Mountainview, California.
Joann (Cappis) Emigh, age 83, was born August 5, 1933 in Ora, to H. Cecil Cappis and Lydia (Friebe) Cappis, both deceased. She also spent her lifetime working on the family farm and raising their family.
They were married 61 years, having wed on June 26, 1955. They are survived by their three daughters, Beverly Albright (Bud), Shirley Fosler (Jeff) and Dolores Surfus (the late James), all of Knox. They also are survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4-8pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1pm (CT), with visitation one hour prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Bass Lake Cemetery in Knox.
