Obituary for Virginia Alderman
Virginia Alderman, age 67, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, formerly of Knox, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Gulf Coast Hospital in Fort Myers. She was born April 8, 1954 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Hargis Miller and Ann Owens. Virginia was a homemaker, loved gardening and her amazing house plants. On November 21, 1990 she married David Alderman. She is survived by her husband, David, one son, William “Billy” Bodine of Lehigh Acres, FL, five sisters, Dorothy Grossman of Argos, IN, Vernie Lyons (Robert) of Mancelona, MI, Betty Ellis (Jim) of Knox, IN, Nora Henry (Michael) of Knox, IN, Mamie Siegert of Fish Lake, IN, two brothers, Vincent Miller (Vivian) of Rochester, IN, and Jay Miller of Lakeville, IN. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Ernie Miller and two sisters, Barb Peterson and Brenda Howard. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will take place Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Graveside burial of ashes will take place immediately following the memorial service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
