Obituary for Theophilus "Phil" Carroll
Theophilus "Phil" Carroll, age 59, of Knox, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was born February 12, 1955 in Cynthiana, KY. He was raised in Charleston, SC, which was special to him. He attended college at Transylvania University in Kentucky. He raised his sons in Zionsville, IN. He has worked over 30 years in the waste industry which brought him to Winamac and Knox. He is survived by his mother, Frances Carroll of Brownsburg, IN, his wife, Gloria Carroll of Knox, his sons, Joshua Carroll of San Diego, Ca and Ryan Carroll of Zionsville, IN, his brothers, Paul Carroll of Saginaw, MI and Andrew Carroll of Brownsburg, IN, his close friend, Wendell Jones of Brownsburg, IN, his former wife, Joyce Carroll of Zionsville, IN, his step children, Kimberly Rose of Titusville, FL, William Santmyre of North Judson, IN, Steven Santmyre of Valparaiso, IN, Kristeen Fredel of Winamac, IN, several cousins, step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Theophilus M. Carroll, brothers, James Carroll and John Carroll. A memorial service will take place Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
