It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stanislaw Gruszczynski, who passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 81.
Born on July 27, 1944, in Kraków, Poland, Stanislaw was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family. On July 7, 1984, he married Maria Gruszczynski, and together they shared more than 40 years of marriage.
Stanislaw was a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Maria Gruszczynski; his sister, Martha Gruszczynski; his son, Przemyslaw “J.R.” Gruszczynski; his daughter-in-law, Jaime Gruszczynski; and his treasured grandchildren, Felix Gruszczynski, Katelyn Gruszczynski, Thomas Gruszczynski, Lydia Scott, Annika Loftus, and Nadia Loftus.
He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Jarek Gruszczynski, who passed away on May 13, 2019. The passing of his eldest son, Jarek, in 2019 was a profound loss that left a lasting mark on his heart and was something he carried deeply.
Though Stanislaw was a man of few words, those who knew him understood the special place his grandchildren held in his heart. They brought him joy, pride and happiness, and he enjoyed spending time with them in his own quiet way.
Stanislaw will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his resilience, and the family he leaves behind. His memory will live on through the stories shared and the lives of those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at 11am at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Visitation one hour prior to the service time.
