Obituary for Rudolph T. "Rudy" Heise Sr.
Rudolph T. “Rudy” Heise, Sr., age 75, of Monterey, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at his home. Rudy was born June 14, 1949 in Winamac, Indiana to Edward and Marguerite Heise. He had worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local 150. His favorite hobby was farming with his son, Rudy. He was also an avid sports fan rooting for the Colts and his beloved Chicago White Sox. On March 2, 1968 he married Norma Martin, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Rudy Heise Jr. (Holly), Kim Fischer and Crystal Benson (Nathan), a sister, Marjorie Ahlenius, two brothers, Fred Heise and Richard Heise, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marguerite Heise, two sons, Randolph and Roderick Heise, and two brothers, Edward and Raymond Heise. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will follow at Bass Lake Cemetery.
