Rose M. Pawlik, age 98, of Granger, formerly of Knox, Indiana passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025. Rose was born March 4, 1927 in Chicago to Paul Bejes and Anna Sadlon Bejes. She was a huge sports fan, avidly following the Bears, Bulls and Cubs and of course the Knox Redskins and whatever sports her grandchildren were involved with. She loved cooking for her family and especially making baked goods. She had been named “Volunteer of the Year” at Countryside Place Nursing Home in Knox for volunteering as a hairdresser for the residents there. She is survived by her children, Roger Pawlik (Dolores) of Alsip, Illinois, Rod Pawlik (Lisa) of Granger, Indiana and Kim Wojtyla (Paul) of Palatine, Illinois, her grandchildren, Katie (Steve), Laura (Jason), David, Gregg, Amy, Lexie (Nic) and Jeffrey, and her great grandchildren, Luke, Paul, Oaklyn and Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement “Kemo” Pawlik, her parents, Paul and Anna Bejes, and her siblings, Bill, Millie, Paul and John Bejes.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 1pm (CT) with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
