Obituary for Roger G. Thomas
Roger G. Thomas, age 70, of Knox, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at his home. Roger was born March 22, 1947 in Austin, Indiana to James and Allie (Hurtt) Thomas, both deceased. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Wells Aluminum in North Liberty, Indiana after 40 years. On November 15, 1969, in Franklin, Tennessee, he married Patsy Jackson, she survives. Also Surviving are his children, Michael Thomas (Nicole) of Franklin, TN, Marcus Thomas (Caitie O’Meara) of Valparaiso, IN, and Jennifer Prevost (Michael) of Murfreesboro, TN, brothers, James Thomas (Charlotte) of Knox, IN, Shelby Thomas of Bunker Hill, IN, a sister, Ada Swan (Dennis) of South Bend, IN, and grandchildren, Braden Fitzgerald, Maddox Thomas, Hudson Thomas, Aribella O’Meara and Lilliana O’Meara, a brother-in-law, Jackie Jackson (Janice) of Columbia, TN. A funeral service will take place Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 7pm (CT), with visitation starting at 4pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will take place at Poteete Cemetery in Franklin, TN.
