Obituary for Richard M. Linkus

Richard M. Linkus, age 75, of Knox, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at his home at Bass Lake. Richard was born December 21, 1947 in Chicago to Joseph and Dorothy Linkus. He loved living at Bass Lake and wanted to have a hand in anything to do with the betterment of the lake. He was a long-time member and Vice President of the Bass Lake Property Owners Assoc., was and avid fisherman and boater, who loved sports and especially loved playing basketball. He was also a staunch supporter and advocate for Republican conservatism. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Linkus of Knox, his children, Jeffrey Linkus (Stephanie) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jill Wenz (Matthew) of Lisle, Illinois, and three grandchildren, Elliot, Henry and Amelia Wenz. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Linkus. A Memorial Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 1pm(CT), with visiting two hours prior, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Knox. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
