Obituary for Paulette M. Geller
Paulette M. Geller, age 72, of Monterey, Indiana passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Paulette was born April 21, 1953 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania. She was a very active person and loved playing bingo and other card games, quilting and sewing. She also loved working outdoors taking care of her yard and flower garden and watching the animals. She had worked for many years as a school cook, first at the Monterey Elementary School and later at Culver Community High School. She is survived by her children, Joyce Baugh (Josh) of Knox, Kathryn Galbreath (Chuck) of Knox, Linda Brantley (Jeremy) of Walkerton and Daniel Bendt of Walkerton, a step-son, Richard Geller Jr. of Ober, Indiana, two sisters, Ruth Ann Butala of Portage and Judy Paradis of Culver, a brother, Donald Striker of Valparaiso, she has several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Striker, her husband, Richard Geller Sr., and a sister, Barbara Sholes.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to plant a tree to replace any lost in recent wildfires.
