Obituary for Paul W. Haskins

Paul W. Haskins, age 73, of Knox, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024. Paul was born March 25, 1951 in Frankfort, Indiana to Wilbur and Barbara (Wampler) Haskins, both deceased. Paul is the former owner-operator of Peoples IGA Grocery Store in Knox and had also retired from Galfab in Winamac. He loved riding his Harley, boating, fishing, gardening, trains and spending time with his fur-babies, Cooter and Barney. He was a huge Chicago Cubs fan, and loved watching his grandkids play softball and baseball. On December 11, 1971 he married his wife of 52 years, Diana Fields Haskins, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Shay Haskins of Knox and Kasi Decker (Steve) of Winamac, three sisters, Janice Waymire (Jarrel) of Elwood, Indiana, Deanna Chinn (Jim) of Anderson, Indiana, and Bobbie Sue Evans (Larry) of Tallahassee, Florida, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark and Wilbur Haskins.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 4pm (CT), with visitation starting at 1pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
