Obituary for Paul Crum
Paul Reuben Crum, age 85, of Culver, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 after a short illness. Paul was born on January 6, 1929 in the home of an Aunt and Uncle in East Chicago, IN, to Annis V. Crum and Ida Grace (McKessen) Crum of Burr Oak, IN. Paul joined the U.S. Air Force and served his country from 1950 - 1954. On Sept. 4, 1982 he married the love of his life, Loraine M. Finkbiner. He worked in the plumbing and heating trade. He also loved playing the tenor saxophone and working on chain saws as a hobby. Paul is survived by his wife, Loraine, his sons, Timothy of Knox, Glen of Austin, TX, a stepson, Kenny of Morris, IL, daughters, Ramona Ruffino of Auston, TX, and Marjorie Parker of Hollister, MO, a sister, Rosalyn Arndt of Jay Em, WY, a brother, Ned of Scottsville, KY, 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Peggy Morris, and brothers, Myrl, Le Roy, John and Bruce. Funeral services will be Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1:00pm (CT), with viewing two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, 153 E. Washington St., Knox. Interment will take place at Burr Oak Cemetery.
