Obituary for Norma M. Baxter
Norma M. Baxter, age 76, of Knox, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at her home. She was born December 25, 1937 in Watsontown, PA. Norma was a LPN and had worked for many years at Wintersong Village Nursing Home and Countryside Place Nursing Home, both in Knox. On August 22, 1981 she married Gary Baxter, he survives. Also surviving are her mother, Marie (Flora) Day of Pennsylvania, her children, Scott Bartlett of Knox, Valerie Thompson of PA, Mark Bartlett of Knox, Caroline Warner of NE, Betty Cole of OH, April Bartlett of IL, Gary Baxter of TX, and Joe Baxter of TX, brothers and sisters, Danny Day, Roy Day, Sandy Craig, Diana Hilkirk, Patty Hilkirk all of Pennsylvania, Harry Day of TX, and Chris Day of VA, 38 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Day and a sister, Sue Foust. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11am (CST), with visitation two hours prior to services, at the Full Gospel Assembly Church in Knox. Interment will take place at Grovertown Cemetery. Arrangements by M.C. Smith Funeral Home.
