Obituary for Michael R. Sikma
Michael R. Sikma, age 67, of Knox, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Michael was born August 13, 1958 in Kankakee, Illinois to Ronald R. Sikma and Donna Schnell Sikma. He had been the owner/operator of Sikma’s II Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning for many years. He was an avid drag racer and looked forward to taking his Mustang to the track and he loved fishing. On August 7, 1976 he married Tena Davis, she survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Melissa Sparenberg (Jeremy) of Momence, Illinois, a sister, Karen Schilling (Carl) of Chebanse, Illinois, and two grandchildren, Karli Kelson and Kendall Sparenberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Donna Sikma, a daughter, Michelle Bewsey and a brother, Mark Sikma.
Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
