Obituary for Mary Ann Johnson
Mary Ann Johnson
March 1, 1937 – December 8, 2021

Mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mary Ann Johnson, at the age of 84, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away December 8, 2021. She was surrounded by her children who will continue to honor her legacy of love of family and living life to the fullest.
She was born to Felix and Agnes Pieszak in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. She married her best friend and love of her life, James N. Johnson, who preceded her in death. Together, they had three children, Lori Cole (Elvis), Jim Johnson (Jayne) and Tammy Ringle.
Mary is most known in the community as a former Knox High School secretary for 35 years. She served as a member of Tri-Kappa. She continued to run her small business, the Pool Room, after her retirement. Mary’s love of football was well known, all knew what team she was rooting for by the flag that was flying on any given weekend. In her latter years she enjoyed genealogy. To her, her family was the icing on her accomplishments. Mary never forgot to acknowledge a birthday. Those memories will be held close the their hearts.
Her sister, Bonnie Omatick preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, Richard Pieszak of Mount Pleasant, PA, her three children, 9 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held at a later date at the Oak Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be given to the charity of the donors choice. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
