Obituary for Mantford "Matt" Crittendon
Mantford “Matt” Crittendon, age 86 of Knox, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Matt was born May 19, 1938 in Haddix, Kentucky to George Crittendon and Mary Hays Lee Crittendon, both deceased. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy. On July 6, 1962 he married Gaye Watson, she survives. Also surviving are his sons, Randy Crittendon (Jackie) of California and Jason Crittendon of Logansport, 4 grandchildren, a sister, Scottie Sands of Texas and a brother, George Crittendon Jr of Texas. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters, Lucy Adams, George Arthur Crittendon, Ray Douglas Crittendon, Elmer Crittendon, Beulah Crittendon, Vesta Turner, Junice Crittendon, James Critendon and Joyce Crittendon Fichette.
A funeral service will take place Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2pm (CT), with visitation one hour prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Interment is private.
