Obituary for Madeline M. Allen
Madeline M. Allen, age 95, of Knox, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Madeline was born October 7, 1927 in Chicago to William Hatfield and Sarah (Keller) Hatfield, both deceased. On June 30, 1946 she married Ralph Allen, he preceded her in death on December 9, 2018. She had been a long-time member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church. She is survived by her children, Linda Gundlach (Joe) of Florida, Kathy Johanan (Ken) of Texas, and Doug Allen (Juanita) of Knox, 17 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and many great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rita Brettin and Nancy Binkley, three grandchildren, Nora, Paul and Jason, a great grandson, Eli, four brothers and four sisters.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 5-7pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 1pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
