Obituary for Lynn B. Hernandez
Lynn B. Hernandez, age 80, of Knox, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. Lynn was born May 26, 1943 in Chicago to Leslie and Jane Edwards, both deceased. She was a very outgoing and social person that never met a stranger and who loved to dance, travel, reading, shopping and wearing hats, especially Victorian hats. She had been a member of the Knox Moose Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. On November 4, 1969 she married Jose Hernandez, he preceded her in death in October of 1981. She is survived by her children, Shantelle Smail of North Ogden, Utah, Michael Hernandez (Lisa) of Knox, Daniel Hernandez of Lexington, South Carolina and Oliva McIntire (Charles) of Knox, a sister, Bonnie Velazquez of Walterboro, South Carolina, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lucky Stephenson and Edmund Stephenson. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 2pm (CT), with visitation beginning at 10am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
