Obituary for Lucy Pitts
Lucy Pitts, age 87, of Knox, passed away Monday October 19, 2020 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Lucy was born December 16, 1932 in Breathitt, Kentucky to Alex and Flossie Rowe, both deceased. She married the love of her life Mimard Pitts on May 20th, 1950 who preceded her in death along with son Lee Trusty. She is survived by her children, Ron Pitts (Josie) of Knox, Stella Durkin of Pennsylvania, Vernie Howard (Mike) of California and Juanita Pitts (Doug Allen) of Knox, brothers and sisters, Goldie Singleton (Junior) of Knox, Marcella Hamilton of Knox, Sonny Rowe of Knox, Marvin Rowe of Knox, and Margie Nash of Grovertown, ten grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Lucy was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed going to church, listening to gospel music and being surrounded by family and friends. She will always be remembered for her sweetness, kindness and beautiful smile.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 24th at 1:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
