Obituary for Loretta Sopcich
Loretta Sopcich, age 81, of Knox, Indiana, formerly of Calumet City, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Loretta was born March 5, 1934 in Lake County, Indiana to George and Julia (Majda) Kowalczyk, both deceased. On March 7, 1953 she married Joseph Sopcich, he survives. Also surviving are her children, Julie Sopcich (Michael McCoy) of Seattle, WA, Christine Georgevich (Daniel) of Peoria, AZ, Mary Maranto (Mark) of Knox, IN, and Nicholas Sopcich (Mari Ann) of Demotte, IN, 11 loving grandchildren and 3 loving great grandchildren. A memorial visitation will take place Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 10am to 12 noon (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, 153 E. Washington St., Knox, IN. A private family graveside service will take place at the Cemetery of the Resurrection in Demotte, IN.
