Obituary for Lois Darlene Sponaugle
Lois Darlene Sponaugle, age 74, of Knox, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 surrounded by her family at her home. Lois was born August 16, 1944 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Earl Smith and Lois Stonecipher Smith, both deceased. She had worked for many years a waitress. On March 7, 1961 she married Ralph Sponaugle, he survives. Also surviving are her children, Sarah Lawrence (Todd) of Knox, Earl Sponaugle (Jonna) of Knox, Lisa Eby of Knox, Rachel Meadows (Mike) of Knox, and Rebekah Wagner (David) of Knox, a brother, Stephen Smith of California, sisters, Sharyn Smith of Plymouth, Indiana, Cathy Dobberfuhl of Wisconsin, Mary Krathwohl of Plymouth, Indiana, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin Krulik and a brother, James Smith. Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5-7pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Knox.
