Obituary for Lawrence E. Whelan
Lawrence E. Whelan, age 55, of North Judson, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home. He was born November 21, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence and Marie (Balducki) Whelan. He had attended several colleges studying computer science and was the owner/operator of Larry’s Coin-Op, which provided computer services in the public libraries in Gary, Portage and Valparaiso. He had also been an avid weightlifter, having won may competitions and competed several years in the Mr. Indiana Competition. He is survived only by his parents. A Funeral Mass will take place Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00am (CT) at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Knox. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery in Knox. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
