Obituary for Joyce Ann Hayes
Joyce Ann Hayes, age 68, of North Judson, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at her home. Joyce was born October 19, 1954 in Chicago to Bobby Bankston and Alice (Hunt) Bankston, both deceased. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family, she especially loved playing rummy with the grandkids. She also loved watching wrestling. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hayes, children, Maryann Minix of Knox, Tina Ingersoll (Danny) of Tennessee, Christopher Ingersoll (Angel) of Medaryville, IN, and extended family member Patrina Hansen of Knox, brothers and sisters, Vickie Villa (Juan) of Mexico, Deborah Villa (Benny) of Chicago and Linda Quillen of Alabama, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren on the way. She was preceded in death by one son, James Ingersoll Jr. and extended family member Justin Ingersoll, two brothers, Glen Hunt and Joseph Bankston, and a sister, Margaret Bankston.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 1pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox. Cremation will take place following the services.
