Obituary for Josephine "Josie" Pitts
Josephine Helene Majchrzak Pitts, on this day of March 26th of 2021 at 1:44am, she has passed away from this life and is now walking happily once again with angels. She has left behind many loved ones including her husband, Ron Pitts, her children, Sherri Finnegan, Michelle Ice, Lori McCay, Rhonda Noah, Susie Ake, Eric Wolzen, Rory Wolzen, Christopher Wolzen, Adam Wolzen, Ronnie Ray Pitts and John A. Pitts, sisters, Joan Will (John) and Joyce Garab, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is graciously greeted with open arms by Roman and Tammy Finnegan, her two children who preceded her in death, as well as, her parents Roman J. and Pauline Majchrzak and her sister, Jean Jurkiewicz.
As we take a moment to remember her and her life here, it is said by all who had the privilege to know her, that she remains the strongest most beautifully loving and independent woman they have known. We shall always treasure her huge heart, loving soul and the beloved memories of her we all share. For as she comes to our minds we will all remember the truly remarkable light that she was to this world and how for a moment the world seems a bit darker as she is so dearly missed. Yet we smile and take a breath once more of relief in the knowledge that she is now and forever released of any pain or suffering. Although there always a part of all of us that wishes she was still here, we all find peace knowing also how she will be smiling down upon us and will be with us always in our hearts as we keep our heads high and carry on in life, as she would have wanted.
She has always said take “one day at a time” and time will heal all wounds and it is in her words we can now find the loving guidance to push through. As we remember her, not a day shall pass that many won’t recall memories, seeing her dancing around the house to her favorite songs, hearing her lovingly warm voice as she would sing with us, seeing the beauty in her eyes and beautiful smile, or feeling her everlasting love through her warm embrace and the hugs she gave. Yet in this sorrow we smile knowing we will see you again one day. Until then, we all hope and pray you are safe and happy getting to run once more through the fields of heaven. You will be forever missed, loved and always in our hearts. You can rest easy now. You are home.
Funeral services will take place Monday, March 29, 2021 at 2:30pm (Central), with visitation starting at 12 noon, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox
