In Loving Memory of Joe Velchek
On April 22, 2025, heaven gained another angel. Joe was a man of few words, yet he spoke volumes to all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. With a beautiful soul and a kind heart, Joe's smile had the power to light up an entire room, spreading warmth and joy to everyone around him. Joe brought immense positivity into the lives of his family and friends. He had a passion for Ford trucks, a fondness for wearing backwards hats, a love for watching Dino Dan and Walker Texas Ranger. Despite the many obstacles he faced throughout life, Joe always managed to find a reason to smile, inspiring those around him to do the same. Joe worked at Marshall Starke Services of Plymouth where he had lived. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Richard Sr. and Barbara Velchek. Joe is survived by siblings; Richard Velchek Jr. of Westville, Tom and Julie Velchek of Colorado, Laurie and Rockford Miller of Grovertown, Jeff and Shelly Velchek of Wanatah and along with nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral services. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. M.C. Smith Funeral Home of Knox will be handling arrangements.
