Obituary for John F. Vercellotti
John F. Vercellotti, age 77, of Knox, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022. John was born November 14, 1944 in Chicago, to John Vercellotti and Helen Barrack Vercellotti, both deceased. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Commonwealth Edison Electric in Chicago as a draftsman after working there for many years. He also loved to golf and shoot pool. On August 25, 1968 he married Rosemarie Scafaro, she survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Gina Skocilich (Jeff) of Plymouth, Indiana and Lisa Czajkowski (Tom) of Powell, Ohio, a sister, Mary Raimondi (the late David) of Plymouth, Indiana, a sister-in-law, Maria Docauer (Bill) of Downers Grove, Illinois, two grandchildren, Bella and Echo Czajkowski, and many dear cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Diane Vida (Fred). A celebration of life will take place at a later date. M.C. Smith Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
