Obituary for Joesph J. Krivak
Joseph John Krivak, was born on Janaury 13, 1927 in Chicago, IL. He passed on April 15, 2015 in the arms of his only daughter Kimberly Jo Krivak Rehlander. His parents were Tony & Mary Krivak. He had 5 brothers Tony, Frank, Roy, Ben, John and one sister Pauline. His brother Tony lived in Czechoslovakia. Roy and Ben in Knox, IN. John lived in Chicago, IL which all have passed away. He married Emily Irene Merkert on August 16, 1947 and were married nearly 70 years. They met at Ober School in 3rd grade. Emily passed on October 14, 2014. Joe was a self made man and began working at Hasnel Poultry Farm, then worked for Johnson Construction and owned and operated Joe Krivak Construction Company. Joe and Emily lived in Knox, Bass Lake and in Fort Myers, Florida. They had one daughter Kimberly Jo Krivak Rehlander (Raymond) and two grandchildren Rachel Jo (Kevin) Macias and Maxwell Raymond Rehlander. Joe spent his last week of his life on a trip to Florida and enjoyed the eight days and smiled the entire trip. Root beer became his favorite drink. Donations may be sent to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Knox, IN where Joe & Emily were married and was a 4th degree Grand Knights of Columbus member. He was also a member of the Bass Lake Property Owners Association
