Obituary for Joan M. McGlone
Joan M. McGlone, age 84, of Knox, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at her home. Joan was born March 30, 1937 in Chicago, to Marion Scheffler and Antonette Zbachnick Scheffler, both deceased. She loved to play bunco and had been the president of the Bunco Club for many years, she also played bingo at the firehouse. She loved crafts, especially sewing and making doll clothes. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She also really loved riding her golfcart around the yard feeding the wild animals and neighborhood cats and tending the birdfeeder. On August 24, 2000 she married Paul McGlone, he preceded her in death on March 16, 2006. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Foster (Matt) of Knox, Donald Lardino (Susan) of Hanna, Ronald Lardino of Knox, Anthony Lardino of Knox, Barbara Dudly (Thomas) of Chesterton, Joseph Lardino (Tracey) of Pierceton, IN, James Lardino of Monterey, IN, and Susan Dauenhauer (Mark) of Monterey, IN, a brother, James Scheffler (Toni) of Tinley Park, IL, 17 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dolores Kryl, Elizabeth Kwiatkowski and Mary Lou Elder.
A funeral service will take place Monday, February 21, 2022 at 1:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M. C. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Knox.
