Obituary for Jay M. Travis
Jay M. Travis, age 50, of Knox, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015. Jay was born January 9, 1965 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He had been a police officer for the Indianapolis Police Dept. He is survived by his wife, Kim Travis, daughters, Alyssa of Knox, Mackenzie of Indianapolis, and Faith of Knox, his father, Thomas Travis (Karen) of Battle Creek, MI, his mother, Carol Travis of Battle Creek, MI, brothers and sisters, Jeff Travis of Grand Rapids, MI, Amy Vought of Galesburg, MI, Tim Meyer of Cape Coral, FL, Julie Sampson of Tampa, FL, and Tad Meyer of New Jersey, and a grandson, Layton Travis. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 4-8pm (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11:00am (CT) at M.C. Smith Funeral Home.
