Obituary for Israel Cole
Israel Cole, age 87, of Knox, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. Israel was born July 10, 1929 in Carver, Kentucky to Ham and Pruda (Minix) Cole, both deceased. In 1950 he married Louverna Mann, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Steven Cole (Karen) of Knox, Diana Overmyer (Thomas) of Culver, Elvis Cole (Lori) of Knox, and Michael Cole of Knox, and a brother, Daniel Cole of Knox, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Cole, a brother, Ishmael Cole, and five sisters. Funeral services will take place Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1:00pm (CT), with visitation two hours prior to services, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Allen officiating. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
