Obituary for Howard M. Brown
Howard M. Brown, age 89, of Knox, passed away March 14, 2019. Howard was born on March 14, 1930 in Charleston, West Virginia. He married Carol Trisler on April 8, 1950, who preceded him in death in 2014. He moved to Knox in 1957 where he was a lab technician at Starke Memorial Hospital until his retirement. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved to fly and flew blood across northern Indiana for the Red Cross. Howard also refereed high school wrestling and football, as well as, being a color commentator for high school football on WKVI radio in Knox. He is survived by two sons, Richard M Brown (Patty) and Robert R. Brown (Rhonda) and one daughter, Ria Lukes (Bob). Howard is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. A private family burial took place on April 12, 2019. M.C. Smith Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
